I’ve always liked the St. Barbara’s tradition.
Putting dead branches into vases on December, 4th to have flowers at Christmas.
It’s about hope, change, and a light from darkness, and that nothing is gonna stay forever.
I like that.
This year I’ve got plum, forsythia and cherry.
Usually I forget to cut them on the 4th of December, and go and fetch them someday in the following week, but this year I remembered to get them in time. Working in a garden centre may have helped …
